At Ramsey Manor Lower School, we recognise that children learn in different ways and at different rates and that some children may need additional support or resources to access the curriculum and fulfil their potential.

We have many systems in place in school including using Initial Concerns forms, IAP (Individual Achievement plans) and Education, Health and Care Plans. These help us to provide teaching tailored to children’s individual needs.

Class teachers will liaise with parents regularly to share progress and successes and to look at next steps for your child. In the current circumstances, this may be predominantly be via a phone call and / or emails.

Sarah Castlo, the SENDCo, supports the teachers and teaching assistants in their day to day SEND work, has an overview of all SEND support in school and liaises with the Senior Leadership Team and SEND Governor. She also refers to and then liaises with other professionals who work alongside our children such as Educational Psychologists, Speech Therapist, Occupational Therapy, paediatricians and many others.
